The Golden Theatre
Paper Architecture Project
Project: InteriorsA fully encapsulated and internalised transitive void. A place of no site, yet a site belonging to all. Solidified rhythmic bands of reflection, light and time construct space, and in doing so, construct the journey.
There is no choice of route. The journey is monodirectional, inevitable. Material becomes floor, wall and ceiling; hierarchy is determined not by distinction, but by gravity. Everything is equal, differentiated only through cut and incision, through the echo of light and the quiet persistence of its own static nature.
And so it is: The Golden Theatre.
A journey towards a theatrical arena where no one is more important to perform, yet everyone is equally important to participate. Each player is indispensable to the next, each given a role that extends beyond the confines of the system. There is no spectator and no hierarchy of importance. Each is invested with a kind of supremacy, an optimism directed towards the unknown.
The journey is singular. The destination inevitable.
To live or die is now.
